What a way to end the year! Newcastle member Rachael Kitching shot a Hole in One Albatross on the 3rd hole at Newcastle GC in the Boxing Day comp. Rachael, relatively new to golf, is clearly improving rapidly and is already one of the longest hitting women at the club. Playing off 19 she scored 1 for 6 stableford points when she holed out her drive on the 3rd at Newcastle. The 3rd hole is a long par 3 for the men and a short par 4 for the women. But Rachael got it just right hitting her Driver 210m to a back pin on the small well bunkered green.
