Almost 100 women converged on Newcastle GC on 27 and 28 October for the 2025 NHDLGA 2-Day Championship. Many “out of District” players joined us this year, with golfers from as far north as Coffs Harbour and as far south as Batemans Bay. Monday was a near perfect day with fair weather and fast greens. Day 1 ended with a very tight group at the top. Day two brought a significant weather change and by the end of the day, the lead groups were fighting the cold, wind and rain as well as their competitors. It was a dramatic finish to the day with a sudden death playoff needed to determine the winner. Congratulations to Jane MacDonald, the 36-Hole Open Scratch Champion.
